A beautiful star in making
She has her whole life ahead of her
Who knows where she stands and what she's worth
Not a day she goes without wearing that smile on her face
To cover up the sadness inside of her
She shines as bright as she could
To cover up the darkness from leaking out of her
Everyone believed the mask she wears
Nobody noticed, nobody saw
So she lets life pass her by with a sigh
Tomorrow will be a better day
Everything will be alright soon, soon
It's going to be okay, you will be okay
Bad things will eventually end they said
But they slipped out one tiny detail
That the bad used to be good
And that's why it has to end, eventually
She never falls easily
Oh but when she falls, she falls hard
It's like walking to your own trap
She loved him dearly, she really did
If you open up her heart, he is all you will see
She loved him, she loved him very much
But love wasn't enough to pay her debts
The pain, the tears, the wants and the needs
She endured, she took it in, she fought
But it wasn't enough, it was never enough
Life wanted her to suffer, life wanted her to break
Life wanted her to crash down, bad.
Every night she cried and she cried
She knows everyone goes through this
But she has never felt so alone in her life
She is so, so sad
Always feel like she's not good enough for anyone.
That secretly, no one truly understands her feelings.
Life has made her feel so worthless
Like she's just another speck of dust in this world
Unappreciated, unimportant, unwanted
People pushing her around like she's nothing
As if there's no amount of kindness in her
Will change this mean, mean world
Maybe she had a little too much
Or maybe she just took a little too much
Or held on a little too long
She's so sensitive, so fragile
That's why she kept it all inside
She doesn't want to look weak
She wants to show that she's strong, solid
But she had so much feelings in her
She doesn't know how to show it, she doesn't know how.
All she ever wanted was two arms holding her tight
Going home feeling content rather than empty
She just wants to be happy, to feel happy
She wants to love
To be loved
And to be loved back
